Goffinsville Nassau River Park
Located on the Nassau River, the Goffinsville-Nassau River Park is a great place to spend the day. It features a fishing pier, boat ramp, playground, and a walking trail. The park is also handicapped accessible and has a bait store.
The park was reopened in 2009 after a renovation. The 19-acre site has 850 feet of waterfront. It also includes two fishing piers, a floating dock for hand-launching canoes, and six covered picnic pavilions. There are also new grills and a playground that is shaded.
George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier State Park
Fishing from piers is one of Florida’s most popular activities. Located a little outside of Fernandina Beach, George Crady Bridge Fishing Pier State park is a popular spot to catch a variety of species. This pier spans the Nassau River and Nassau Sound. Redfish, whiting, and jack crevalle are the main catch here, but you may also catch some tarpon at the south end of the bridge, where grass flats attract large numbers of fish. A fantastic read!

Fort Clinch State Park
For those who enjoy exploring nature and history, Fort Clinch State Park is a good choice. Located in northeastern Nassau County, it was designated a state park on March 4, 1970. This area was once a military post and was garrisoned during the Civil War and Spanish-American War. After the fort was abandoned in the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation Corps began to preserve it. Today, the park boasts a six-mile nature trail that offers excellent opportunities to observe local plants and animals.
The park is open 8 am to sunset and features a visitor center. There’s a cost to enter Fort Clinch, and it depends on the type of transportation you’re using. A single-occupant vehicle will cost $4, while a vehicle carrying two to eight people will cost $6. Bicycles and walkers are permitted to enter the park for $2.50 each.

Goffinsville Park, located on the Nassau River in Fernandina Beach, is a 19-acre public recreation area. It includes a boat ramp, fishing pier, and concession stand. The park also has a restroom and a walking trail. The park is named after Russian immigrant Saul Goffin, who helped build a shrimp boat, oyster packing plant, and cannery on the property. In 2002, he sold the land to the Trust For Public Land.
